传记
教授. 加 (he/him/his) received his Ph.D. in 理论物理ics with a specialization in 理论物理ics 建造ation 研究 和 Development from North Carolina State University in 2010. There, he worked closely with faculty involved in the 扩大 和 物质与相互作用 projects while completing his project about students’ use of deductive reasoning when solving physics problems. He previously earned his M.S. in 理论物理ics from the University of Pittsburgh 和 his B.S. in 理论物理ics 和 Math at Bethany 科尔ege in Bethany, WV.

课程
这些天,教授. 加 is mostly interested in the development of active learning courses for physics students 和 researching student affect related to learning physics. He is currently developing 和 teaching PHY 141 和 142, which is a sequence of physics courses specifically designed for students in the Construction Management program at 利记sbo. This course takes place in the 理论物理ics Department’s Laboratory Classroom, located in New Science Building room 219, which he helped design to be a research-based technology-rich classroom created especially to facilitate interaction 和 flexibility in course design.
Other recent courses he has taught include: PHY 261/262 (the calculus-based Introductory 理论物理ics sequence), which uses the 物质与相互作用 curriculum; PHY/EGR 323 (Statics 和 Dynamics); 和 PHY 151/152 (the algebra-based Introductory 理论物理ics sequence). He also provides opportunities for students interested in 理论物理ics 建造ation 研究 和 Development to act as 教ing Assistants in 理论物理ics courses or to participate in research projects.
